The dual-active 3840 controllers are seamlessly integrated into a compact SAS drive enclosure, creating a fully featured 24-drive storage system in a space-saving 2U module. You can expand your storage capacity further by adding up to 128 additional SAS or iSCSI drive enclosures, allowing for a maximum storage capacity of 20PB with 352 disk drives. This makes it an ideal solution for entry-level to mid-level and secondary storage requirements.

The dual-active 4890 controllers are integrated into a high-performance SAS drive module, enabling a fully featured 24-drive storage system within a robust 4U enclosure. For enhanced performance with high IOPS and capacity, additional SAS drive modules can be seamlessly added.
Combining high-speed, industry-standard components with our reliable Nomadic firmware, the 3850c controller offers enterprise-class functionality and exceptional value. Each 4450c controller features 4x64Gb/s Fibre Channel host I/O ports (8 per dual-controller storage system), supporting direct host or SAN attachments. The controller's native support for up to 24 24/12GB SAS drives in the initial enclosure can be expanded using the 3890 64/32/16 Gb/s FC expansion ports. Dual drive loops created through the interconnection of the FC drive side ports provide redundant access to all attached disk drives for both controllers in dual-controller configurations.
The 4450c controller boasts a high-speed bus capable of handling large block I/O for superior IOPS, as well as efficient processing of small block I/O. Its I/O system core features built-in hardware XOR for high-speed RAID parity calculations, enabling the controller to effortlessly handle compute-intensive tasks. With online configuration, reconfiguration, expansion, performance tuning, and firmware maintenance, administration becomes a breeze. All our GVS enterprise controllers, ranging from the entry-level 4480i iSCSI 10Gbit Option to the high-end models, run on the same firmware. This uniformity ensures a lower total cost of ownership, higher return on investment, seamless integration of FC or iSCSI in any mixed server environment, and easy upgrades and reconfigurations.
